Detailed syllabus of IBPS 2021 - Exam pattern

IBPS PO 2021 detailed syllabus-IBPS PO examination is scheduled in 3 Phases. Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. To Crack this exam, a candidate has to pass all three phases. However, the marks of the prelims do not include in the merit list, it is only necessary to qualify for this phase. The merit list is based on the Mains and interview.

IBPS Prelims Detailed Syllabus- In the prelims exam, questions asked from three sections. Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning, and English. The total number of marks for this exam is 100 marks. 35 marks for Quantitative aptitude and Reasoning each and 30 marks for English. There is a separate cutoff for all three sections, and it is necessary to pass all the cutoffs. The cutoff marks are decided by IBPS, depend on the number of vacancies allotted. For this, you get 60 minutes, 20 minutes for each section. Within 20 minutes you have to solve all the questions.

IBPS PO Prelims Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus - This section consists of 35 marks and the duration for this section is 20 minutes. This section mainly consists majority of questions from the Arithmetic section Data interpretation (Arithmetic based). To pass this section you should have a good command of Arithmetic.

IBPS PO Prelims Reasoning Syllabus -This section consists of 35 marks and the time is given for this section is 20 minutes. The majority of questions asked from Puzzle and Sitting arrangement. 3 to 4 sets of Puzzle and Sitting arrangement, consisting of 5 marks each asked in this section.

IBPS PO Prelims English Syllabus - This Section consists of 30 Questions and the time is given for this section is 20 minutes. If you have a good understanding of the English language, this section becomes easy for you. Quick reading and understanding the language can give you good marks. To tackle this section you should make a habit of regular reading books, newspapers, novels, etc.

IBPS PO Main Exam detailed Syllabus-IBPS PO Mains exam consists of four sections. Reasoning, Data Interpretation, and analysis, English, General Awareness and Descriptive paper. A total number of 155 questions, consisting of 200 marks asked in this Exam, for which you will get 3 hours. There will be separate timing for each section. The descriptive paper consists of 25 marks and the duration for this test is 30 minutes. You have to write 1 essay and 1 letter in this section.

IBPS PO Mains Reasoning syllabus-This section consists of 45 questions, and the duration for this test is 1 hour. Mainly puzzle and sitting arrangement questions were asked in this section and the level of questions is high compare to the prelims test.

IBPS PO Mains Data Interpretation and Analysis syllabus- This section consists of 35 questions, and the duration for this test is 1 hour. Data Interpretation questions are asked in this section. Questions of this section are of a higher level than the prelims test.

Personal Interview-After Qualifying in Prelims and Main exam, a candidate has to face a Personal interview, where the interview panel may ask questions from various fields like, about their education, Current events, Banking term, etc.
